Review by: Stacy Palm You know the routine, you want to try something new and exciting for dinner, so you go to your kitchen library, glance through the recipe books, and choose something based on the ingredients you have on hand. This is NOT that book. This is a masterpiece. A life time of love and devotion went into producing this book. You can tell from the subtle details through to the artful images. You do not decide to throw something together from this book. You study and learn this art form and only after you have completed reading through this book can you start to make plans to create these masterful dishes. The narrative is compelling. The photographs inspiring. If you are into culinary history this book is a delight to read. I recommend this book for people who are interested in the origin of classic recipes. To make these recipes you should be skilled in the kitchen and able to devote time into planning and preparation. I have a feeling that the end result would be well worth the effort. |
