Girls Can't Be Knights | Review by: Stacy Palm I can't help myself, I love all the hyped up Young Adult books that are currently all the rage. Seriously, if only I had this wealth of a selection growing up. Actual novels with emotions and tragedy. The closest we came to this in my time was a new Judy Blume novel, or who remembers The Babysitter's Club? This book was engaging from the start! I love the characters, all very much unique. I love the settle magic, that then becomes much more present. The story is solid, the turmoil is real, and the struggle to identify is a common thread throughout. I thought the author did a fantastic job a telling a story that even though it is seeped in fiction, it felt believable. Some of the twists and turns were unforseen and handled with care by Lee French. I highly recommend this book. |
