Since that glorious day of discovery I have had the opportunity to read and color several of these collections, and I would like to introduce you to one of my favorites (for a variety of reasons) Let It Go: Coloring and Activities to Awaken Your Mind and Relieve Stress by: Sherise Seven. Reasons that this is one of my top picks include the perforated single pages allowing for coloring with heavier mediums without the worry of choosing to ruin artwork on the back of the page, a back panel on the inside of the book that you can use to protect other pages as you color, and most importantly - this book has some of my favorite pieces that I have colored.
The Artist, Sherise Seven, has used a repetitive style in her pieces that I'm thoroughly drawn into. The repetitive style lends to a very relaxing and meditative encounter as you color the pages. She has also included many additional activities within the book that are specifically designed to calm and focus your mind. Along with that, there are uplifting statements and affirmations throughout this book. Making it by far, one of the most enjoyable books I have colored. I have found that some of the hardback story coloring books are difficult to work with as they do not lay flat, nor are they easily malleable. With Let It Go, you will not experience those issues as the pages will lay flat, yet are heavy enough to stay positioned for you.
All in all, I highly recommend not only this book, but this activity as well. It is coming upon the Christmas season, and I know there are many on my list you will gain a great deal of enjoyment from this book, and so a small gift from the publisher to our reader's:
